Introduction to role
Are you keen to experience the challenges of complex global supplychainsfor medicines, and to learn about how we design and set-up supplychainsfor resilience and sustainability? These cover all manufacturing stages through the supply chain, across many stages and technologies, and often across multiple locations both inside AstraZeneca and through external sourcing. We consider many factors such as quality and regulatory, patient needs, capacity and capability, sustainability, financial and legal. We develop long-term strategy, resolvecomplex trade-off decisions, and lead implementation and operation of supply chains through teams across the world.
We have exciting opportunities for you to get involved in this work in our Global Supply Chain & Strategy group, as part of a team supporting leaders of supplychainstrategy and product launches.

Accountabilities
To support the teams leading supplychainstrategy for our medicines, and/or new product launches. This couldincludeworkingwith digital tools e.g. for performance dashboards, decision-support, or process mapping. Itcouldincludeworkingwith small teams to identify, define and implement business process improvements.Itcouldincludeworkingwith supply strategy teams to evaluate opportunities or challenges and develop proposals for decisions to be made, or projects to be implemented.

Essential Skills/Experience
No specific experience is required; e.g. it is not essential to be studying sciences, or a supply chain or logistics degree. You must have a passionforlearning,interestin science, and enthusiasm to collaborate withothers. You should be in your 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies.
Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application.
Must have UK right-to-work status.
Candidates graduating before/during the programme are not eligible.
